Covid-19 has brought about a new perspective for speakers and workshop leaders. Everyone's work and social life is centered around video conferencing platforms. This new environment has created new opportunities for speakers and leaders to reach audiences in our own country, as well as abroad. That said, how can we keep our audience 'with us' when many times, we cannot see the audience? Here are my 3 hints: Hint 1: Practice your talk until it is internalized. Hint 2: Schedule an online practice meeting, deliver and record the speech. Hint 3: Review your body language. Did your body language work for the online platform? If not, adjust where necessary! Bonus hint: Stand up! Treat your online audience that way you would treat a live audience.
